FOMF President’s Message – Russ Williams

As we bring the 2025 Visitor year at Multnomah Falls to a close, I would like to share a few thoughts. The first thing is to thank all of the volunteers new and old who went to the Falls everyday, rain or shine. You were faced with some unusual challenges, Forest Service cutbacks, few temporary Forest Service help, thousands of visitors from all over the country and the world, parking issues, road closures and other unforeseen challenges and all of you have dealt with everything with grace, professionalism and a knowledge of Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River Gorge so all of our visitors went away feeling they had learned something and enjoyed their experience at the most visited natural wonder in Oregon. Going forward into the Fall and Winter seasons I have no doubt that you all will continue representing Multnomah Falls, the Forest Service, Friends of Multnomah Falls, the Lodge and the State of Oregon with the same professionalism you have shown in the past. Again thank you all and I hope to see you in November at the annual meeting, board election and awards luncheon. Stay Safe
